Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

American Leadership Academy was the 7-4 winner over Providence Hall when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 16-11 to the Patriots on Friday.

Travin Hales was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Memphis Butler also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

American Leadership Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Providence Hall, they moved to 9-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, American Leadership Academy will host Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Hall will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against the Bears, they'll take on Providence Hall again at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
