Baseball Recap: Watertown-Mayer's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Watertown-Mayer's last matchup with New London-Spicer could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Royals lost 17-7 to the Wildcats. The loss put an end to the Royals' undefeated start to the season.

Watertown-Mayer saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Otterness, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Watertown-Mayer fell to 2-1. As for New London-Spicer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watertown-Mayer will welcome Southwest Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New London-Spicer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paynesville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
