Basketball Game Preview: Turkey Valley Trojans vs. Tripoli Panthers

Turkey Valley is 8-0 against Tripoli since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Turkey Valley Trojans will host the Tripoli Panthers at 6:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Turkey Valley easily dispatched Postville on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Turkey Valley fell just short of MFL MarMac by a score of 40-37 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since February 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, Tripoli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Janesville.

Turkey Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Tripoli, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything came up roses for Turkey Valley against Tripoli in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 66-32 victory. Does Turkey Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tripoli turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
