Southridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They managed a 69-64 victory over the Gresham Gophers. Given the Skyhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Gophers are ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southridge pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Gresham, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southridge will welcome Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southridge is facing Beaverton at the right time seeing as Beaverton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gresham, they will be playing at home against Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gresham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Central Catholic likes a good challenge.
