Preview: Brashear Tigers vs. Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs
Brashear is 7-1 against Bucklin-Macon County since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Brashear Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Bucklin-Macon County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Brashear, who comes in off a win.
Brashear scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Bevier at home to the tune of 68-17. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Meanwhile, Bucklin-Macon County took a serious blow against Meadville on Friday, falling 74-4. Bucklin-Macon County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-2.
Brashear is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Bucklin-Macon County, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Brashear beat Bucklin-Macon County 34-24 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brashear since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
