Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Takes Down Oak Hills in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Fairfield rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oak Hills Highlanders. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

While Fairfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Oak Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Fairfield will take on St. Xavier at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
