Football Recap: Thomson Comes Up Short

Thomson's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the North Augusta Yellow Jackets, falling 33-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 25-18 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Markevion Jones threw for 112 yards and one touchdown. Jaris Sinkfield was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Dallas HIll rushed for 30 yards.

Thomson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Thomson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 50-42 win against Academy of Richmond County on the 29th. As for North Augusta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-3 victory against Lexington on the 29th.
