After losing to Estill County the last time they met, Powell County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Engineers on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Powell County have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Powell County and bumps their season record up to 8-5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two contests. As for Estill County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powell County will take on Perry County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Estill County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
