Volleyball Recap: Sam Houston Comes Up Short

Sam Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the John F. Kennedy Rockets. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15.

John F. Kennedy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaelee Cordero, who had five kills, three aces, and one block. The team also got some help courtesy of Makalya Aragon, who had five kills and five digs.

Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for John F. Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Sam Houston has already played their next matchup (against Lytle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for John F. Kennedy, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Winn on the 14th.
