Soccer Game Preview: South Lakes vs. Washington-Liberty

The South Lakes Seahawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Washington-Liberty Generals at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. South Lakes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for South Lakes' offense. They lost 6-0 to George C. Marshall on Monday.

Meanwhile, Washington-Liberty entered their tilt with Hayfield on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hawks. That's two games straight that Washington-Liberty have won by just one goal.

Washington-Liberty pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for South Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.
