Meanwhile, Bridge City came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bears a 6-0 shutout. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Bridge City's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
