Basketball Recap: Santiam Piles Up the Points Against Delphian

Santiam won the last time they faced Delphian and things went their way on Friday too. The Santiam Wolverines breezed by the Delphian Dragons to the tune of 54-23.

Santiam has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Delphian, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santiam will take on Colton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Colton is on a three-game streak of home wins, Santiam a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Delphian, they will square off against Salem Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Salem Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Delphian surely won't give up without a fight.
