Basketball Preview: Hartford Central Tanagers vs. Schroon Lake Wildcats
The Hartford Central Tanagers will head out on the road to take on the Schroon Lake Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Hartford Central came up short against the Golden Horde and fell 56-46. Hartford Central has struggled against the Golden Horde recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Schroon Lake was the victim of a rough 55-35 defeat at the hands of the Eagles on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Schroon Lake has scored all season.
Hartford Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Schroon Lake, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Hartford Central came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 51-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hartford Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
