Cape Fear is a perfect 10-0 against Seventy-First since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cape Fear Colts will host the Seventy-First Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Cape Fear's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Seventy-First's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Cape Fear and Purnell Swett, and Cape Fear kept the tradition alive. Cape Fear walked away with a 5-1 win over Purnell Swett on Friday. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Brycen Talley was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Rainey, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Seventy-First was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 19-1 to Gray's Creek.

Cape Fear's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Seventy-First, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
