Basketball Recap: Cambridge Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Cambridge Academy had won two straight home games and Maddox Lee did his part to make it three on Monday. The Cambridge Academy Cougars were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over Newberry Academy thanks in part to Lee, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cambridge Academy's points.

Andrew Wiley was another key player, putting up seven points along with 15 boards and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 12 times he's played.

Cambridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Newberry Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Cambridge Academy will challenge Wardlaw Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Newberry Academy has already played their next matchup, a 35-17 victory against King Academy on the 28th.
