The Ambrose School was the 78-71 winner over Cole Valley Christian when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Ambrose School Archers took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cole Valley Christian Chargers on Monday.

When it comes to explaining why The Ambrose School lost, don't look at Tristen Trevino. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 20 on his way to 24 points. The matchup was Trevino's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Mathis, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Ambrose School has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Cole Valley Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
