Cameron hadn't done well against Lawson recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Dragons came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 5-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 6-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Gannon Hamilton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Flick, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Cameron's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. As for Lawson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-4.

Looking ahead, Cameron will take on Bishop LeBlond at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawson, they will challenge Wellington-Napoleon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
