Arbor View piles up the points against Spring Valley

Recap: Arbor View Aggies vs. Spring Valley Grizzlies

The Arbor View Aggies posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They really took it to Spring Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-45 victory at home. With Arbor View ahead 44-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.

It was another big night for Pharaoh Compton, who scored 23 points along with two blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jalen Dickel, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Despite the loss, Spring Valley still got an impressive performance from Alijah Adem, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. That was a full 37.8% of Spring Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. CJ Joshua was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.

Spring Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are 1-4 when they can't control their own glass like that.

Arbor View is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Spring Valley, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Arbor View will stay at home for another game and welcome Liberty at 6:15 p.m. on January 20th. As for Spring Valley, they will face off against Mojave at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
