Union Academy benefitted from Wilson in 9-1 win
South Stanly had no answer to Avery Wilson on Tuesday as she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her seventh in a row with more than five strikeouts. For the season, Wilson has an ERA of 2.56 over 68.3 innings pitched.
Wilson and Union Academy will head out on the road to take on South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union Academy has some work to do to even out the 1-8 series between these two since April of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
