Baseball Game Preview: Joaquin Rams vs. Gary Bobcats

The Joaquin Rams will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Gary Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Joaquin came up short against Woden on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joaquin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Kay, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gary took on Harleton two weeks ago. The Bobcats lost 13-1 to the Wildcats. The loss put an end to the Bobcats' undefeated start to the season.

Joaquin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gary, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Joaquin couldn't quite get it done against Gary in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 as they fell 6-2. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
