Baseball Game Preview: Central Bears vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

Central hasn't had much luck against Nature Coast Tech recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Central Bears will take on the Nature Coast Tech Sharks at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Friday, Central had just enough and edged Crystal River out 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talyn Poole, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Nature Coast Tech posted their closest victory since April 16, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Springstead.

Nature Coast Tech also got a great performance from RAYMOND GROETSCH as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits.

The victory got Nature Coast Tech back to even at 1-1. As for Central, their record is now 2-0.

Central came up short against Nature Coast Tech in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 6-3. Can Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
