Basketball Recap: Davis-Romoth Triumphs

Davis-Romoth hadn't done well against Napaaqtugmiut recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Davis-Romoth Wolves made off with a 45-44 win over the Napaaqtugmiut Lynx. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Wolves were down 42-28 in the third quarter.

Despite the loss, Napaaqtugmiut still got an impressive performance from Ivan Jones, who posted 18 points. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Caleb Sage was another key player, putting up nine points.

Davis-Romoth's record is now 5-2. As for Napaaqtugmiut, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

As of now, neither Davis-Romoth nor Napaaqtugmiut have any future games scheduled.
