Everything went their way against the Monte Vista Monarchs on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Mustangs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26, 2024.

Santiago Araiza looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jake Medina was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Victor Bennett, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Otay Ranch hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.
