While Murrieta Mesa's win against Woodcrest Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Royals on Tuesday. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Zach Janczyk was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Quintin Diaz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Murrieta Mesa kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Murrieta Mesa's record now sits at 12-7. As for Woodcrest Christian, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Murrieta Mesa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-5 victory against Temecula Valley on the 23rd. As for Woodcrest Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Ramona on the 25th.
