Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles Pirates vs. Howell North Knights

After both having extra time off, the St. Charles Pirates and the Howell North Knights will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, St. Charles was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Jersey.

Meanwhile, Howell North was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-36 defeat at the hands of Hazelwood West. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Wildcats are ranked 59th).

Howell North's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for St. Charles, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

St. Charles came up short against Howell North when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 42-36. Can St. Charles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
