Soccer Recap: Oregon Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Oregon couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Madison West Regents by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Oregon were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior), but Madison West's defense proved too tough.

The loss snapped Oregon's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-4-1 record. As for Madison West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-2 record this season.

Oregon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison West, they will face off against Muskego on Thursday. Muskego will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Madison West surely won't give up without a fight.
