Leeton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Midway Vikings a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Leeton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Midway, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Leeton will head out to challenge Green Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midway, they will challenge Adrian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.21 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
