Baseball Recap: Sturgeon Takes a Loss

Sturgeon fell victim to Centralia and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Sturgeon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Centralia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Sturgeon will square off against Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Centralia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Moberly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
