Dade Christian skates past Goleman with ease

Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 14 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Dade Christian Crusaders proved on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 72-41 win over Goleman at home. With Dade Christian ahead 37-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Dade Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenvenson Malivert, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Berdugo, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Goleman saw an underclassman step up: Khimari Hudson scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Michael Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.

The victory makes it two in a row for Dade Christian and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Goleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dade Christian will take on Somerset Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Somerset Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Goleman, they will be playing at home against Key West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Key West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
