Basketball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders vs. Enloe Eagles
The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Enloe 52-16 on the road. With Cardinal Gibbons ahead 28-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Cardinal Gibbons found their leader in underclassman Tessa Gladieux, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Gladieux has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Fusco, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Cardinal Gibbons' win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. As for Enloe, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
