Baseball Game Preview: Wawasee Warriors vs. Fairfield Falcons

The Wawasee Warriors will square off against the Fairfield Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Concord hit Wawasee with a eight-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors came up short against the Minutemen, falling 12-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mark Haynes was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Lehman, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Fairfield suffered their biggest loss since April 29th on Saturday. They lost 17-2 to Norwell.

Fairfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Beachy, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Wawasee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.
