Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Valley Christian Academy Lions walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 47-28 victory over Hesperia Christian on Friday. The win was familiar territory for Valley Christian Academy who now have three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Hesperia Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ayden Ortega. Despite the final result, he gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns. Arlan Koester also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Valley Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.2 points per game. As for Hesperia Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Valley Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hesperia Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
