The Edison Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Sandusky Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.7 runs per game this season.
Edison barely beat Huron the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-1 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Chargers have posted against the Tigers since April 21, 2022.

Abby Cloud was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Peyton Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Stella Brown was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Edison hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Sandusky ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Margaretta 19-18. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Streaks as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Edison is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Sandusky, their record now sits at 9-13.
Edison took their victory against Sandusky in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 23-0 score. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Streaks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
