Soccer Game Preview: La Porte vs. Texas City

The La Porte Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Texas City Stingarees at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

La Porte lost 4-1 to Friendswood on Friday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Bulldogs were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, Texas City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Iowa Colony, falling 5-1. That's two games in a row now that the Stingarees have lost by exactly four goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Romeo Resendiz, which was the first he's scored this season.

Texas City's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for La Porte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season.
