Softball Game Preview: Weiss Wolves vs. Nederland Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Weiss will face off against Nederland. The Wolves will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Weiss is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Weiss heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of Nederland by a score of 8-7. The Wolves' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

For Nederland's part, Saydee Montoya was excellent, going 1-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Montoya has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Reese Robbins, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Weiss' defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Nederland, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.
