Baseball Recap: Prairie View Comes Up Short

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Iola Mustangs, falling 18-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffalos of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Prairie View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Steenburgen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Prairie View suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 0-5-2. As for Iola, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Prairie View by a score of 14-4 later that day.
