Basketball Recap: Milken Comes Up Short

Milken's tournament run continued when they took on Uniontown on Thursday. The Milken Wildcats took a hard 71-56 fall against the Uniontown Red Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 198th in California, while the Red Raiders are ranked ninth in Pennsylvania).

Milken's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Uniontown, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Milken will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pilibos at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Uniontown and Abington Heights will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Uniontown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
