Basketball Recap: Central Triumphs

Central won the last time they faced Oak Grove and things went their way on Monday too. The Central Blue Eagles skirted past the Oak Grove Panthers 52-50.

Oak Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Reeves, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Reeves a new career-high. Jaxson Ford was another key player, putting up six points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.

Central's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Oak Grove, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Central will square off against East at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Oak Grove has already played their next contest, a 59-54 victory against Pleasant Hill on the 15th.
