Newton North has gone 9-1 against Brookline recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Newton North is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 35 points on November 6th, they were much more limited against Needham last Friday. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 14-12.

Meanwhile, Brookline took a blow against Westwood last Friday, falling 41-14. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Wolverines are ranked 94th).

Brookline dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Newton North, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Newton North strolled past Brookline in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 30-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
