Recap: Loyola Academy Ramblers vs. Neuqua Valley Wildcats
The Loyola Academy Ramblers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 33-6 victory over Neuqua Valley at home. The victory was just business as usual for Loyola Academy, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Loyola Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Fitzgerald out in front who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 44 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew MacPherson, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Loyola Academy pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points per game. As for Neuqua Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Loyola Academy will take on Saint Ignatius College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saint Ignatius College Prep is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. Neuqua Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
