Volleyball Game Preview: Timpview Thunderbirds vs. Maple Mountain Golden Eagles

The Timpview Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to take on the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Timpview is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since August 9th on Friday. They lost 3-0 to American Fork. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Thunderbirds haven't been shut out since back in August.

Meanwhile, Maple Mountain faced Pleasant Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Golden Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Golden Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 22-25, 25-16.

Timpview's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Maple Mountain, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 17-6.

Timpview came up short against Maple Mountain in their previous matchup back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
