Basketball Recap: Lebanon Drops Highest Score of Season Against Covington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lebanon). They put the hurt on the Covington Trojans with a sharp 71-51 win on Saturday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Kaden Lark was his usual excellent self, going 11 of 15 en route to 28 points along with seven assists and three steals. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January of 2024. Bryce Jones was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Lebanon was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Covington still got an impressive performance from Landon Herzog, who posted 15 points. Nash Martin also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Lebanon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Covington, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon will host Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southmont's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Covington, they will be playing at home against Riverton Parke at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
