Softball Recap: Jackson-Reed Drops Season-High Score on Roosevelt

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson-Reed). They were the clear victors by a 21-10 margin over the Roosevelt Roughriders on Tuesday. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.

Alex Nehrer was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Grace Harscheid was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3.

Nehrer wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jackson-Reed kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Jackson-Reed and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Jackson-Reed will head out on the road to square off against Georgetown Visitation Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
