Volleyball Recap: Washington Finds Playoff Glory Versus Aberdeen Central

With a playoff win on the line, Washington rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Washington walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-17.

Jade Jere paced Washington's offense, picking up 15 kills. Jere got some help from Emily Akkerman and her 36 assists. Chloe Peterson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Washington is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Aberdeen Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-12.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Washington and Brandon Valley will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aberdeen Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
