Volleyball Recap: Allyson Leutheuser and Kate Byers Secure Win for Northville

Northville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Howell Highlanders. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Northville was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-15.

Leading Northville to victory were Kate Byers and Allyson Leutheuser. Byers had 15 digs, while Leutheuser had nine assists. Those 15 digs gave Byers a new career-high.

Northville's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Howell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Northville is taking a road trip to take on Churchill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Howell, after both having extra time off, they and Canton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
