Preview: Germantown Red Devils vs. Bartlett Panthers
Germantown is 1-9 against Bartlett since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The pair will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Germantown didn't have too much trouble with Cordova at home as they won 49-32. The victory was just what Germantown needed coming off of a 52-29 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Bartlett can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against Memphis Business Academy as Bartlett made off with a 62-40 victory. Bartlett's win was all the more impressive since Memphis Business Academy was averaging only 27.07 points allowed on the season.
Germantown's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Bartlett, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-10.
Germantown took a serious blow against Bartlett when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bartlett's Carrington Jones, who scored 13 points. Now that Germantown knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
