Baseball Recap: Brentwood Comes Up Short

After flying high against Parkway North on Friday, Brentwood came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Valley Park Hawks by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Brentwood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Valley Park, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hawks beat Brentwood by a score of 11-1 later that day.
