Basketball Game Preview: Elite Prep Academy Eagles vs. Orangewood Christian Rams

The Elite Prep Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Orangewood Christian Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Elite Prep Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to Christian Learning Academy. Elite Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Elite Prep Academy had strong showings from Kirk Duhaney, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards, and King Williams, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The game was Duhaney's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jahmani Salomon, who posted eight points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orangewood Christian). They secured a 79-73 W over Circle Christian on Friday.

Orangewood Christian's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-11. As for Elite Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Elite Prep Academy beat Orangewood Christian 65-58 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Orangewood Christian's Ethan Toadvine, who had 27 points.
