Two dominant guards in Chabria Tate and Kaleigh Lucas are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Evans Knights will jump right back in to play the South Pointe Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Evans is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 79-17 stomp they got against Lewisville. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Meanwhile, South Pointe put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 73-35 victory over Darlington. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Falcons are ranked 74th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evans better focus on containing Lucas and JaNyia Cunningham as the pair were huge in South Pointe's win. Lucas went 12 for 22 on her way to 29 points in addition to seven boards and six steals, while Cunningham dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Cunningham is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season.
