Baseball Recap: South Fulton Comes Up Short

South Fulton and Gleason pushed the score to 15-5 the last time they played Gleason, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Red Devils fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

South Fulton's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Gleason, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9-1.

Coming up, Gleason will square off against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Fulton will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' match: after the Bulldogs faces off against the Tigers, they'll take on South Fulton again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
